Bid Burglar Terms of Use

We reserve the right to change our Terms of Use at any time. If the changes are huge and massively affecting we'll inform you of the changes. If they're minor we feel you should be responsible for periodically checking the Terms of Use and seeing what, if anything has changed within them. Where possible, all changes will be dated and amendments highlighted.

Use of the BidBurglar site and Copyright issues

We made this site with the aim in mind to enable individuals to bid effectively. We do not allow any modification of the information on our site - this includes not using our logo, images, or concepts which are unique to BidBurglar or BidBurglar services.

Our Privacy Policy

In our privacy policy we ask you to read, digest and understand the way we run privacy and security on our site. If you agree to these terms and conditions (by clicking 'I agree') at the bottom of the sign up page (link) this also means that you're in agreement with our Privacy policy.

Wrong, Unlawful, Subversive, Disruptive or Prohibited use of BidBurglar is not allowed

When you click the 'I agree' button to the terms and conditions of BidBurglar, you agree to use the site honestly, and without guile or unlawful behavior. We expressly forbid any attempts to gather information on anyone else's account, any attempts to disrupt the BidBurglar service, or do anything really wrong, like attempt to mine passwords, hack into our system etc. If we come across any attempts such as these, we shall immediately bar the user from our system, and refer the case to authorities who deal with this kind of thing. They don't like behaviour like this, and therefore will be keen to stamp it out at source.

Liability. A Disclaimer

We reserve the right to change or alter the BidBurglar services at any time. In clicking 'I agree' at the bottom of the signup page, you agree that: BidBurglar is not responsible for unauthorized access to your details, or any unauthorised alteration of those details. BidBurglar is not responsible for the reliability of the site information, for availability of service. We cannot be held responsible for any one individual's use of the services we provide. All responsibility for using this site and its services lie with the user. We're not responsible for the abusive, defamatory or just plain bad behaviour of those who you enter into transaction with.

You specifically agree that in no way shall BidBurglar or any of its employees be held responsible for any damages or losses (financial, data or otherwise) or accidents occurring connected with use of the BidBurglar sniping service. If you think for any reason that BidBurglar is not for you, or if you are dissatisfied by it and the services it offers, you agree that it is your responsibility to stop using the service. If there is a loss of Server service, or changes that eBay or other auction sites make without notice, software glitches in our site mainframe, or any other reasons that your bid does not get placed, you agree that we will not be held responsible.

While we endeavor to be the best we can be, we can't guarantee continuous access to our site for all kinds of reasons - 1) eBay changes its sign-in pages and software - this is outside of our control and while we are right on the case and will fix this as soon as possible, inevitably bids placed when eBay makes this change(s) may well not be placed as per normal. BidBurglar does not guarantee its normal service during these times and should we have to temporarily close the BidBurglar sniping service in order to make good the necessary changes in relation to eBay's site changes, no refunds or claims for lost earnings, lost bids or damages of any sort will be given. We can't guarantee that your bid will be able to be deleted or edited before end of auction due to the same reasons stated above.

The transaction between the buyer and the seller is separate from the relationship that BidBurglar has with you as a agent who places snipes (bids) on your behalf. Because of this separateness, you agree that in the event of any dispute between the buyer and the 'seller' that BidBurglar is not to be held responsible for any damages, claims, demands of all natures (whether they be known or suspected or not known at all).

BidBurglar does not guarantee its normal services if a seller decides to change the 1) title of the item they are selling, 2) its description, 3) the final end-time of auction or 4) any other information on the item they are selling. BidBurglar will not be held responsible for the changes that sellers make to their items. It is the buyer's responsibility to check to see if any information in the auction they are interested in has changed.

Our security measures are very tight indeed, but even the tightest, most secure sites can be vulnerable. It is highly unlikely that anyone could access information held on our servers. We use the very best SSL encrypted software to protect all customer information. We cannot, however absolutely guarantee that the BidBurglar user's information cannot be accessed by a deviant superhacker but we can say that access to it is as difficult as is possible using the current technology available which we constantly monitor, update and improve when new developments in security become available to us.

eBay page changes, server changes, server disconnects, power failures, internet disconnections mean that we do not guarantee that you will be able to access BidBurglar at all times. Sometimes stuff happens to make constant, uninterrupted access impossible that is out of our control. We will give no refunds of any kind that result from an inability to connect to our service.

While you're signed in to our service, you're responsible for all actions that occur under your name. This means that keeping your password(s) secure and not sharing them with anybody is essential, as is not getting or using passwords from any other user, eBay, BidBurglar or otherwise.

Free 14 day period

The initial time period where the registered user can place unlimited snipes lasts for 14 days. After that 14 day period elapses the user can earn free snipes by referring friends to the BidBurglar service.

Third Party communication

We may provide you with links to other sites, or recommend visits to specific resources on the www. We won't exactly be in control of these sites or resources - we're just showing you them. Just because we show you a site, or recommend a resource doesn't mean we condone, endorse or are responsible for how they portray themselves, or what information they give to you. You are responsible for what you take from these sites.

BidBurglar will not be responsible for passing on or forwarding any information or contact details to you from a third party. If someone wants to get hold of you or send you information via us, it won't happen!

Contacting you

We may choose to give information/notices to your via email, notices we post on the BidBurglar site or any other future methods the site has yet to develop.

We must state categorically that BidBurglar is in no way affiliated with eBay Inc. or Yahoo. All eBay logos are registered trademarks and pertain to the services eBay provide to their customers. If we show any logos of other brands, companies etc on the BidBurglar site, those logos pertain to those companies who own them, and the services they provide.

Copyright Issues

The design, feel and look of the BidBurglar site is ours. We made it and designed it and love it. We have what is known in the trade as 'Intellectual Property Rights'. We don't mind if you copy some stuff off the site for your own personal use but not for any kind of commercial use please. Thanks.
